Europees overleg over strategische autonomie

Op 22 maart organiseerde het Portugese Voorzitterschap van de Raad van de EU een informele videoconferentie voor de ministers van Concurrentievermogen (Industrie / Interne Markt). Deze verving de informele ministeriële vergadering die normaal zou doorgaan in Portugal op 22 en 23 maart.

De gedachtewisseling tussen de ministers ging over strategische autonomie in een open EU, met in het bijzonder aandacht voor:

  1. het identificeren van strategische afhankelijkheden en relevante maatregelen om deze aan te pakken; en
  2. het initiatief inzake buitenlandse subsidies voor het verzekeren van een gelijk speelveld, met handhaving van gemeenschappelijke sociale en milieustandaarden.

Vlaams minister Hilde Crevits vertegenwoordigde, volgens de toerbeurtregeling voor Industriebeleid, België tijdens deze vergadering.

We moeten ons uit de crisis innoveren. Vandaag opnieuw deze boodschap gebracht op Europees overleg. Er worden volop nieuwe, duurzame oplossingen bedacht in Europa. De Europese Commissie presenteerde tot slot nog kort de recente mededeling van 9 maart inzake het digitaal decennium.

Although Horizon Europe (= the ninth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation) is only halfway through, preparations for its successor have already begun. Therefore, in Flanders, the Working Group 12 of the Flemish Stakeholder Platform for European Programmes (VEP), has drafted a reflection paper on the future FP10. A similar exercise was done in the past for the current Horizon Europe programme.
