Hoorzitting over de sociaal-economische impact van artificiële intelligentie

Artificiële Intelligentie (AI) is de verzamelnaam voor de technologieën die machines een zekere vorm van menselijke intelligentie verschaffen. De impact van AI zal voor de Vlaamse kennismaatschappij structurele AI-investeringen vereisen in onderwijs, onderzoek, innovatie en sensibilisering.

De Sociaal-Economische Raad van Vlaanderen (SERV) bracht onlangs een informatierapport uit over artificiële intelligentie (AI). Hij bracht in dit rapport onder andere de sociaaleconomische impact vanuit een internationaal perspectief in kaart.

De leden van de EWI-commissie hielden hierover een hoorzitting met onderzoekers en professoren van de universiteiten van Leuven en Maastricht.

Sprekers: Bart De Moor (voorzitter van de Vlaamse AI Academie en professor Faculteit Ingenieurswetenschappen, KU Leuven), Rudy Lauwereins (vicepresident R&D imec en professor Faculteit Ingenieurswetenschappen, KU Leuven), Katleen Gabriels (docent Departement Filosofie, Universiteit van Maastricht) en Nathalie Smuha (onderzoeker Faculteit Rechten, KU Leuven)

Flanders Looks ahead to the Tenth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation

Although Horizon Europe (= the ninth European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation) is only halfway through, preparations for its successor have already begun. Therefore, in Flanders, the Working Group 12 of the Flemish Stakeholder Platform for European Programmes (VEP), has drafted a reflection paper on the future FP10. A similar exercise was done in the past for the current Horizon Europe programme.
