De toekomst voor kunststofrecyclage in Vlaanderen? Die ontdek je in de Roadmap 2050

VLAIO en ons Departement WEWIS presenteren, in samenwerking met OVAM, de studie en roadmap voor kunststofrecyclage, een belangrijke stap in de transitie naar een circulaire economie in Vlaanderen.

Deze roadmap, ontwikkeld in samenwerking met diverse stakeholders, blikt vooruit op de toekomst van kunststofrecyclage tot 2050.

Waarom is dit belangrijk?

Onze roadmap is een antwoord op de uitdagingen van de kunststofwaardeketen en biedt een toekomstbestendige visie die de levenscyclus van kunststoffen duurzaam en koolstofneutraal maakt.

Samen kunnen we de negatieve trends stoppen en Vlaanderen positioneren als een circulaire hub voor kunststoffen.

Wat kan je verwachten?

Inzicht in de huidige toestand van polymeerproductie en kunststofconversie.
Strategische doelstellingen: 20% gerecycleerd materiaal in polymeerproductie en 50% in kunststofconversie tegen 2050.
Innovatieve recyclagetechnologieën: Mechanische, polymeer-, monomeer- en feedstockrecyclage.
Randvoorwaarden voor succes: Stimuleren van vraag en aanbod, technologische ontwikkeling, en financiële prikkels.
