1,05 miljoen euro strategische transformatiesteun aan ECA Robotics Belgium bv in Oostende

De Vlaamse Regering kent 1,05 miljoen euro strategische transformatiesteun toe aan ECA Robotics Belgium bv in Oostende. ECA Robotics Belgium gaat in een nieuwe fabriek drones vervaardigen die wereldwijd voor ontmijning kunnen worden ingezet aan de hand van het stand-off ontmijningsprincipe. Dit principe waarbij door middel van een Unmanned Surface Vessel versneld op zoek wordt gegaan naar mijnen én ze onschadelijk worden gemaakt, maakt dat een mijnenjagerschip zelf buiten het mijnenveld kan blijven en derhalve minder risico loopt.
